David the Gnome follows a 399-year-old forest gnome and his wife Lisa as they live among the animals and helping creatures of an enchanted countryside, with David serving as the local healer and Swift the fox as their constant companion. The series came out of BRB Internacional in Spain, aired on TVE, and crossed into American living rooms through Nickelodeon's Nick Jr block in the late 1980s.
