Despicable Me 2 continues the Illumination animated franchise, returning to the reformed supervillain Gru who has settled into his new life as the adoptive father of three young daughters and the maker of family-friendly jams and jellies, when he is recruited by the Anti-Villain League to help track down a new global threat. Partnered with the eager-but-inexperienced agent Lucy Wilde, Gru must investigate a chain of suspects at the local mall while trying to keep his three daughters Margo, Edith, and Agnes from interfering. The film plays as a feature-length CGI animated comedy.
