Dog City is the early-90s animated-and-puppet hybrid Saturday morning series in which the Muppet-style live-action puppet Eliot Shag draws an animated noir comic about a hard-boiled detective named Ace Hart, a German shepherd private eye operating in a city populated entirely by anthropomorphic dogs. Produced by Jim Henson Productions, the show ran on Fox Kids and Global Television Network across four seasons from 1992 into 1995, alternating live-action puppet sequences with the animated Dog City story Eliot is drawing each week.
