Exchange Student Zero is the mid-2010s Australian animated comedy about Hiroshi, a Japanese exchange student who arrives at an ordinary Australian high school and turns out to be a magical anime hero whose actual life is full of kaiju attacks, ninja schemes, and ramen-shop disasters, while his ordinary classmate Max gets pulled into Hiroshi's escalating chaos. The show ran on Cartoon Network through 2015 and 2016 with 12 episodes that lean directly into the show's specific anime-meets-Australian-suburb register.
