George of the Jungle is the late-1960s Jay Ward Productions animated comedy about George, a lovably-clumsy white jungle hero who lives in the Imgwe Jungle with his elephant son Shep and his anthropologist wife Ursula, swinging through the trees on vines and constantly slamming face-first into them, which the show's signature theme song narrates with a knowing-grin energy. The show ran on ABC across 1967 with later airings on Cartoon Network and Teletoon giving it a long second life, and totals 17 half-hour episodes that bundle George shorts alongside Tom Slick auto-racing segments and Super Chicken superhero-comedy bits.
