Hop blends live-action and animation to follow the slacker rabbit E.B., the teenage son of the Easter Bunny, who has fled his Easter Island home to pursue his dream of becoming a rock drummer in Hollywood. He crosses paths with the equally aimless human Fred O'Hare, who accidentally injures him and reluctantly takes him in, and the two form an odd-couple friendship while contending with the looming threat of a coup back at the Easter Bunny operation. The film plays as a feature-length live-action and CGI hybrid family comedy.
