Ice Age: Continental Drift continues the prehistoric adventure franchise, returning to the same group of unlikely animal companions as the breakup of the original supercontinent of Pangaea separates Manny, Diego, and Sid from their families and sends them adrift on a runaway iceberg ship across the open ocean. They contend with a band of pirate-coded primates led by the captain Gutt and must find their way home before the families they left behind move on without them. The film plays as a feature-length CGI animated adventure-comedy.
