Josie and the Pussycats in Outer Space is the early-1970s Hanna-Barbera Saturday morning animated series spinoff of the original Josie and the Pussycats cartoon, in which Josie's all-girl rock band is accidentally launched into deep space along with their team of friends and rivals, and must travel between strange alien planets while trying to find their way back to Earth. The show ran on CBS across 1972 and 1973 with 16 episodes that pair classic Josie and the Pussycats band-and-mystery plotting with the kind of space-adventure framing the era favored.
