Oh Yeah! Cartoons is the late-1990s Nickelodeon shorts showcase that became one of the network's most consequential development programs. Running across three seasons starting in 1998, the series was structured as an anthology of original cartoons from animators given a few minutes to pitch a new character and world directly to the audience. Some of the shorts went nowhere. Others became flagship Nickelodeon properties that ran for a decade or more. The format was a bet on creator-driven animation at a moment when the network was looking to reinvent its pipeline.
