Over the Garden Wall follows two half-brothers Wirt and Greg who become lost in the mysterious otherworldly forest known as the Unknown, where they encounter strange creatures, ancient legends, and gentle absurdity as they search for the way home. Their guide through much of the journey is the talking bluebird Beatrice, whose own backstory connects to the wider mythology of the forest, and they must contend with the looming threat of the Beast who watches the woods for travelers who lose their way. The miniseries plays as a feature-length-equivalent ten-episode Cartoon Network animated event series.
