Piggsburg Pigs! is an early Fox Kids oddity from 1990 and 1991, a horror-tinged anthropomorphic-pig adventure cartoon set in an entire animal city where almost every threat happens to be supernatural. The show throws its young pig leads into mummies, swamp mansions, vampire dogs, and ancient curses, with the kind of monster-of-the-week structure that early Fox Kids did better than just about anyone. The result is a kid-targeted cartoon that is unmistakably 90s in its love of ghouls and gore-lite imagery.
