Prometheus and Bob aired briefly on Nickelodeon's KaBlam! variety block across the mid-1990s, a stop-motion animated short-form series built around an alien named Prometheus who travels back in time to teach a caveman named Bob the basics of survival skills, technology, and etiquette while documenting each attempt with hidden cameras. The premise played the educational-experiment-gone-wrong joke straight, treating each segment as a faux-documentary recording of Prometheus's increasingly frustrated attempts to teach Bob how to handle ordinary modern concepts.
