Sinbad Jr and his Magic Belt is a 1960s syndicated cartoon that put the legendary sailor's young son at the center of his own pulp adventure series. The show originally aired in short installments that local stations packaged into syndication, and it followed Sinbad Jr and his sidekick Salty traveling the world to take on pirates, monsters, and overconfident villains. The magic belt was the gimmick, doubling Sinbad's strength when he tightened it, and the animation kept things simple in the way most low-budget cartoons of the era did. Mel Blanc, Tim Matheson, and Dal McKennon anchor the voice cast.
