The Adventures of Pete & Pete 5-Disc Box Set DVD
The Adventures of Pete & Pete is a half-hour Nickelodeon comedy that quietly reinvented what a children's show could feel like. Running 39 episodes across three seasons starting in 1993, the series follows two brothers named Pete in the suburb of Wellsville as their everyday lives keep brushing up against the surreal. The older Pete narrates with a deadpan calm. The younger Pete has a tattoo of a girl named Petunia on his arm. The world they inhabit is recognizable as suburban America, but tilted just enough that mailbox inspectors become recurring antagonists, neighborhood paperboys take on mythic stature, and the strangest things become matters of profound importance.
