The Adventures of Portland Bill is the 1980s British animated short-form series about Bill, the lighthouse keeper of a small island lighthouse, his cat, his lighthouse dog Cromarty, and the various visiting birds, fishermen, and seasonal weather that bring small adventures across the lighthouse's rocky outpost. The show ran on ITV through 1983 and 1986, with episodes that pair seaside-shore atmosphere with small-scale daily-life storytelling.
