The Awesomes follows a group of misfit superheroes assembled by Prock, the brilliant but powerless son of the world's greatest retired hero, who decides to revive his father's defunct superhero team by recruiting a roster of barely-qualified candidates from the wider hero community. The team includes a sumo-coded fighter, a passionate Frenchman, a man with the powers of a shopping mall, and others whose powers are just as suspect, and the show plays as a 30-episode adult animated comedy across three seasons. Each story pairs the team's mission stakes with the workplace-comedy texture of running a fledgling superhero outfit.
