The Busy World of Richard Scarry brought the beloved children's-book illustrator's universe to television in the mid-1990s, airing across Showtime, Nick Jr., the Family Channel, and the BBC's CBBC block. Each episode bundled three short stories set in Busytown, a softly cluttered place where pigs ran fire trucks, cats baked pies, and a small worm named Lowly Worm rode around in an apple-shaped car. The voice work and gentle music carried the warmth of Scarry's books straight to the screen, with vignettes that taught small lessons about kindness, work, and curiosity without ever feeling like a classroom.
