The Croods follows a prehistoric family of cave-dwellers led by the cautious patriarch Grug, his wife Ugga, and their teenage daughter Eep, who along with her younger siblings has spent her entire life inside their family cave under her father's strict survival rules. When their cave is destroyed by an earthquake and the surrounding world begins to transform around them, Eep falls in with a more adventurous wanderer named Guy, and the family must follow his lead into a wider unknown world they never imagined existed. The franchise extends across feature films and continuing television-series adventures.
