The New Shmoo is the late-1970s Hanna-Barbera Saturday morning series that revives Al Capp's Li'l Abner-derived Shmoo character as a shape-shifting white blob who teams up with three teenage reporters investigating supernatural mysteries for a magazine called Mighty Mysteries. The show ran on NBC across 1979 and 1980 with 16 episodes that pair the Shmoo's transformation gimmick with the era's standard mystery-of-the-week structure.
