The Roman Holidays is the early-1970s Hanna-Barbera animated sitcom that drops a modern-style suburban family into actual ancient Rome, with Gus Holiday managing his roof-tile job, his wife and kids living in a Roman-arched ranch house, and the family pet lion functioning as the household's regular source of comic chaos. The show ran on NBC for a single 13-episode season through 1972 and 1973, applying the period's standard prime-time-style sitcom rhythm to a togas-and-chariots setting.
