Trollhunters follows ordinary teenager Jim Lake Jr. who discovers a magical amulet in a creek bed and is thereby drafted into the secret world of trolls living beneath his California suburb, becoming the first human Trollhunter charged with defending both the troll community and the wider human world from the magical threats that emerge from the underground troll civilization. With his best friends Toby and Claire and his troll mentor Blinky, Jim must train to use his amulet-summoned armor while balancing his ordinary high-school life against his secret nighttime duties. The show plays as a 52-episode Netflix animated action-adventure series across three seasons.
