Window Horses follows the young Canadian poet Rosie Ming, a half-Chinese half-Iranian poetry enthusiast who has spent her life imagining her absent Iranian father, when she is unexpectedly invited to participate in a poetry festival in Shiraz, Iran. Her trip to the festival becomes a journey of cultural discovery, family-history reckoning, and creative awakening as she meets poets from around the world and slowly uncovers the truth about her father's absence. The film plays as a feature-length animated entry blending traditional drawn animation with contemporary digital craft.
