Wreck-It Ralph follows the title arcade-game villain Ralph, who has spent thirty years as the antagonist of his vintage arcade cabinet but has grown tired of being treated as just a bad guy by the inhabitants of his game's world. Ralph leaves his own game and crosses into the wider arcade universe to win a hero medal of his own, ending up in the saccharine kart-racing game Sugar Rush where he befriends the glitchy outsider Vanellope von Schweetz while accidentally unleashing a much greater threat. The film plays as a feature-length Disney CGI animated adventure-comedy.
